LEAF Quebec has been in existence since 2019 and is growing slowly but surely, despite the pandemic! Our objective is to advance equality rights for women and non-binary people both through the law and by establishing links with other feminist organizations in Quebec. Last year we organized a conference on the place of older women in legal space.
This year, we want to focus on technology-facilitated violence against women, while remaining ready to respond to current challenges. We also aim to intervene in parliamentary committee, and we’ve kicked off this work by submitting a brief on Bill 2. Finally, we wish to inform our community of important decisions for the advancement of the right to equality.
Our board of directors is made up of 6 members and meets once a month to plan upcoming events, mobilization and development goals.
