LEAF is delighted to welcome two team members in newly created positions: Tracy Au as Office and Branch Relations Coordinator and Jen Gammad as Communications and Advocacy Manager.
Tracy has over a decade’s worth of administrative and finance experience in the non-profit sector. She holds a degree in Biology and Anthropology from the University of Toronto.
As the Office and Branch Relations Coordinator, Tracy will be instrumental in LEAF’s operations and advancing the work at LEAF branches. With her unique skillset and experience, we look forward to all of Tracy’s contributions to LEAF.
Jen brings a solid track record of advocating for gender equity and social justice through accessible communications and critical, evidence-based policy analysis. Before joining LEAF, she worked at YWCA Canada, York University, the Foundation for Media Alternatives (Manila), Campaign2000, and PINAY Québec. She played a key role in developing and disseminating YWCA Canada’s Feminist Economic Recovery Plan, which offered policy solutions to address women’s losses in the labour market since COVID. Following the plan’s release, Prime Minister Trudeau promised in the 2020 Throne Speech an intersectional, feminist recovery—language specifically adapted from the plan. Jen is also a proud trade unionist and long-time advocate for worker rights. She holds a Joint Honours degree in Political Science and International Development from McGill University.
