Please join us October 18, 2018 to our Annual Persons Day Breakfast.
This year’s event focus is “Women in Detention.”
We are delighted to feature Senator Kim Pate, as our keynote speaker. She will talk about access to health for women in prisons with a special focus on Indigenous women.
She is joined by Professor Jamie Liew and Professor Martha Jackman, who will focus on access to health for Refugee women in detention and access to health as a Charter Right respectively.
Even though Indigenous women and Refugee women are from two different worlds, they share similar plight and barriers to accessing health services.
Date: October 18, 2018 – from 7:30 am to 10am
