LEAF Winnipeg is thrilled to invite you to the 2025 Equality Day! This annual fundraiser brings together feminists across the city and raises money to directly support the important work LEAF National does fighting for gender equity. This year’s theme is « Trans Rights in Manitoba: Opportunities and Challenges. » This event will feature an incredible panel of speakers, who will share their insights about the current landscape of trans rights in our province.
This panel will include:
- J Fiedler (they/them) Sexual and Reproductive Health Facilitator (Sexuality Education Resource Centre, [SERC])
- Romeo Gauthier (they/them) Community member and educator
- Ashley Gawne (she/they) Peer Support (Trans Health Klinic)
- Dr. Anastasia Gibson (she/her) Assistant Professor (Max Rady College of Medicine, University of Manitoba) & Consulting Psychologist (Adult Community Mental Health Service, Prairie Mountain Health South)
- Seth Lozinski (they/them) Legal Articling Student & Supervisor for the Trans ID Clinic
