March 4, 2022 – Join LEAF Kingston for their first Equality Day event, celebrating 40 years of the Charter!
This free online event will take place on Tuesday, March 8, from 6pm to 7pm EST.
This year marks 40 years of the Charter in Canada, which paved the way for LEAF’s work fighting for substantive equality through the law.
LEAF Kingston’s event will feature lawyers Gillian Hnatiw, Samantha Peters, and Kat Owens. They will discuss the evolution of equality jurisprudence in Canada, LEAF’s work, and how the law can be used to fight for social justice.
