Last week, West Coast LEAF and other human rights and equality-seeking organizations wrote a letter to the Law Society of BC requesting a public and transparent process for determining whether to accredit Trinity Western University’s proposed school of law. Many members of the public and the legal profession have raised concerns about TWU’s discriminatory admission and regulatory policies.
We are delighted to share that the Law Society of BC is inviting input from lawyers and the general public as it considers TWU’s new law school.
Submissions may be sent by email to [email protected] or by mail to The Law Society of BC – Attention: Executive Director, 845 Cambie Street, Vancouver, BC, V6B 4Z9.
Submissions must be received before March 3, 2014 and will be made available to TWU and may be made publicly available. More information is available on the Law Society’s website.
West Coast LEAF commends the Law Society of BC for taking this issue seriously and committing to an open and transparent process.
