April 21, 2022 – Join LEAF Thunder Bay at their Poetry for Equality Day event, featuring poetry, food, live music, raffles, and drinks.
Poetry for Equality Day will take place on April 29th from 7:00p.m. to 9:00p.m. at Sleeping Giant Brewing Co. in Thunder Bay.
This year marks 40 years of the Charter! LEAF celebrates Equality Day to commemorate the implementation of section 15 of the Charter.
Tickets are $20.00 each. Each ticket provides one free beer and food provided by a Fine Fit Catering!
If you have a paid membership at the time of the event, you will be entered to win a gift basket filled with local goodies and other prizes.
Entertainment will be provided by some wonderful Thunder Bay local poets that will speak to what identity and equality means to them, including Shadiya Aidid. You can learn more about Shadiya Aidid’s poetry here.
