LEAF is delighted to welcome two team members: Roxana Parsa as a Staff Lawyer and Celia Zhang as the Reproductive Justice Advocacy Coordinator! Learn more about them below.
Roxana Parsa has worked as a staff lawyer at the Rexdale Community Legal Clinic and at METRAC, a gender-based violence non-profit, as well as working as an associate at an immigration and refugee firm in Toronto. She has a J.D from the University of Toronto and recently completed an LLM at the London School of Economics and Political Science. Outside of work, Roxana can be found painting or at the movies.
Roxana will contribute to the development and management of LEAF’s cases, law reform and public legal education.
Celia Zhang is an intersectional feminist and comes to LEAF with broad experience working and volunteering for feminist organizations including Action Canada for Sexual Health and Rights, Choice in Health Clinic, and the Toronto Rape Crisis Centre. Outside of work, Celia can be found stretching, dreaming about disability justice, or walking her dog Tina.
Celia will support LEAF’s Reproductive Justice project, contributing to the development of law reform proposals and advocacy by LEAF branches.
